The 2024 CONCACAF W Gold Cup will take place from February 21 to March 11. Encounters between the senior women’s national teams of CONCACAF member associations constitute the largest international women’s football competition. Initially described as a “Women’s CONCACAF Nations League,” it was unveiled in December 2020. When the branding was unveiled in August 2021, CONCACAF announced the tournament as the “flagship women’s international competition”.
The tournament’s inaugural edition includes USWNT, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Panama, El Salvador, Mexico, and Costa Rica along with the four CONMEBOL guest countries: Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, and Paraguay.

2024 CONCACAF W Gold Cup Qualifying
The “Road to CONCACAF W Gold Cup” qualification competition commences with the group stage, which has 33 CONCACAF women’s national teams divided into three leagues (A, B, and C).
There are three groups in each league: League A has three teams, while Leagues B and C each have four teams. Each group’s teams compete against one another in a round-robin style, playing both home and away. The three League A group winners earn a direct trip to the W Gold Cup. For the final three berths at the W Gold Cup, the League A group runners-up and the League B group winners face off in a play-in.
The two CONCACAF women’s national teams who earn a spot in the Summer Olympics bypass the group stage and go straight to the W Gold Cup.
2024 CONCACAF W Gold Cup Teams
Twelve teams will compete in the W Gold Cup: the two Olympic qualifying teams, the six play-in and group stage qualifying teams, and four guest national teams from other confederations. The twelve teams will play in a single round-robin, divided into three groups of four. Eight teams will move on to the knockout stage: the top two teams from each group and the top two teams from third place. Quarterfinals, semifinals, and a championship match will comprise the knockout phase.
