Benn is back in action in his second straight fight in the USA as he looks to rebuild his reputation in the ring after being embroiled in controversy, with his fight against Eubank Jr. called off for two positive drug tests.
The BBBofC (British Boxing Board of Control) is still not satisfied with the adequate resolution of the situation, which prevented the bout against Eubank Jr. from taking place.
However, Benn isn’t suspended from boxing while the appeals process continues, meaning he can fight anywhere outside the United Kingdom.
And he is doing precisely that; he returned to the ring in the USA in September against Rodolfo Orozco, whom he beat on points, and now headlines the event in Las Vegas.

Benn vs Dobson: What has been said?
“I never thought I would fight in Las Vegas, let alone headline, so it’s nothing but a blessing,” Benn said.
“I’ve got a lot of supporters in America, and I know that people will be traveling over to see me. I sit back and count my blessings. England is my home, and I can’t wait for its homecoming, but at the same time, I am embracing every step of this journey. It’s all part of the story, and I am excited about what is to come.
“Obviously, I’m not my dad. It’s evident to see. I am Conor Benn; that’s that. What he’s said is nothing I haven’t heard before; if he wants to talk, that talk is fair play. Talk is cheap; I take no notice of it but when I get in the ring, I express every bit of feeling I have in me. So, he can keep talking; it’ll just make me want to end the fight early. I’m going in there to dismantle him and remind everyone who’s who and what’s what.
“I’m coming for it early, and when I see an opportunity, I take it; that’s who I am. I take the shots I see; I don’t pull back; I don’t pitter-patter; I’m going in there to iron him out; that’s who I am, and I can’t help it. If I see one split second of pain or weakness, I ensure he knows I’ve seen it.”
What’s on the undercard?
In the co-main event, two exciting and undefeated middleweights, Houston’s Austin ‘Ammo’ Williams (15-0 10 KOs) and Florida-based Irishman Connor Coyle (20-0 9 KOs), will go against each other for the WBA International and IBF North American titles.
It’s a Brit-heavy card with Benn’s Tony Sims-trained stable mates Liddard and Sains, who clash Andrew Buchanan (3-0-1, 2 KOs) and Ahmed Swedy (5-2 2 KOs), respectively.
Popular, unbeaten heavyweight Fisher (10-0, 9 KOs) takes on Ukraine’s Dmytro Bezus (10-1, 5 KOs) over ten rounds.
In another fight, light-heavyweight talent Khalil Coe (7-0-1, 5KOs), who enjoyed a fruitful 2023, takes on Mexican KO artist Gerardo Osuna (20-0, 18KOs) over eight rounds.
