AEW Dynasty is going to feature the stars of All Elite Wrestling with the most prestigious titles on the line this Sunday, April 21st, in St. Louis, Missouri. In addition to being All Elite Wrestling’s first-ever Dynasty event, this is the first AEW PPV to take place in Missouri.
All Elite Wrestling (AEW) submitted a trademark application for the word “Dynasty” on February 23, 2024. On March 3, at Revolution, AEW declared that it would host its first-ever pay-per-view (PPV) event in Missouri, called Dynasty, on April 21, 2024, at the Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis. Tickets for Dynasty went on sale on March 8, 2024.
In order to avoid clashing with other concurrent combat sporting events, the 2021 Full Gear was delayed. It was initially planned to be held at the same site and would have been the first pay-per-view event for AEW in Missouri.
With outcomes set by AEW’s authors, AEW Dynasty will showcase professional wrestling contests that stem from pre-existing feuds and storylines. Television shows Dynamite, Collision, and Rampage on AEW all develop their own storylines.

Ospreay vs Danielson Preview
Will Ospreay and Bryan Danielson square off in a historic match between two generations of independent wrestling legends for the first time ever. The match’s first clue was revealed at the conclusion of AEW Dynamite when Danielson confronted Ospreay after he had defeated Kyle Fletcher.
Following reports that the match would probably be included to the pay-per-view, Khan gave the fans quick confirmation. Ospreay returned the favour after Danielson overcame Shane Taylor in the AEW Collision opening bout. Ospreay claims he is in AEW to demonstrate his superiority over other competitors, and Danielson wants to give him the opportunity. Danielson quickly presented Ospreay with the challenge at Dynasty, and Ospreay accepted.
AEW World Tag Team Championship Tournament
Due to Sting’s retirement, AEW World Tag Team Champions Darby Allin and Sting vacated their titles at the conclusion of the 2024 AEW Revolution. Tony Khan said at the press conference following the event that a competition would be held to crown new champions, with two wild card matches to decide which teams advance to the first round.
The first wildcard match was won by The Infantry (Capt. Shawn Dean and Carlie Bravo) over The House of Black (Buddy Matthews and Brody King), and the second and final wildcard match was won by Best Friends (Trent Beretta and Orange Cassidy) over The Don Callis Family (Kyle Fletcher and Powerhouse Hobbs).
